How can I enable access to my camera so I can proceed with the Identity Verification?

As part of setting up your Vivid Business account, you’ll need to complete an identity verification check. This is a standard step in our onboarding process to keep your account secure and to comply with regulatory requirements. This process is fast and will only take a few minutes.

During verification, you’ll be guided through each step, including taking a selfie alongside your identity document. This ensures that your identity is confirmed quickly and securely.

Through the app:

To complete your verification, the app needs access to your camera. If camera access is disabled, please follow the steps below to enable it on your device:

For iOS

For Android

  1. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security.

  2. Tap a hardware feature, such as Camera, Bluetooth, Local Network, or Microphone.

  3. Tap camera. The list shows the apps that you can enable to use your camera. You can turn permission on or off for Vivid on the list.

For location, camera, and microphone permissions, you may be able to choose:

  • All the time:

  • Allow only while using the app: The app can use the permission only when you're using that app.

  • Ask every time: Every time you open the app, it'll ask to use the permission. It can use the permission until you’re done with the app.

  1. On your device, open the Settings app.

  2. Tap Apps.

  3. Tap the Vivid app in the list. If you can't find it, tap See all apps.

  4. To change the permission setting, tap camera, then choose Allow.

Web-Interface

Depending on the web browser you are using, follow the steps below to enable camera access:

Google Chrome

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Open Chrome

  2. At the top right, click More. Settings.

  3. Click Privacy, and then select Site settings.

  4. On Site settings, click on Camera / Microphone to review your blocked and allowed sites, and allow Veriff.

  5. Once allowed, refresh the page.

  1. In the Menu bar at the top of the screen, click Firefox and then select Preferences or Settings, depending on your macOS version.

  2. Click Privacy & Security on the left.

  3. Scroll down to the Permissions section.

  4. Click the Setting button for the Camera option. Firefox displays the websites with saved Allow or Block permission. Please click on Allow.

  5. Refresh page

Safari

  1. If you just ignored the permission pop-up on first time, simply refresh the page and allow our service to use your web camera and microphone

  2. If that didn't help, open "Settings"

  3. Click "Websites" tab and make sure both Camera and Microphone are allowed for our site

  4. Refresh page once camera and microphone permissions have been allowed.

If you have already enabled access to your webcam but it's still not working, check whether the browser has permission to use the camera on your device.
