You can now speed up your SEPA transfers by simply scanning a QR code from an invoice or document. Just tap the new “Scan” button and we’ll automatically fill in the payment details for you, no manual typing needed.
This feature is available only on the Vivid Money app.
Where can I find it?
Select “Send Money”
Tap to add a new recipient
The “Scan” button is located at the top right of the Recipient screen.
Scan the QR from an invoice or document.
Once you scan, the following fields are pre-filled automatically:
Recipient name
IBAN
Amount
Reference / payment purpose
The BIC will resolve automatically from the IBAN.
Keep in mind that the button is visible only when EUR is selected. For other currencies, the button is hidden.
Can I edit the scanned details?
Yes, all pre-filled fields can be edited before confirming the payment.
What type of QR codes are supported?
We currently support EPC QR codes (European Payments Council standard), including:
GiroCode (Germany)
QR-Rechnung (Austria)
Other EPC-based QR codes used across the EEA
Why can’t I see the “Scan” button?
This feature is only available when:
Currency is set to EUR
You’re using the mobile app (iOS or Android)
Why isn’t the QR code working?
The scan may not work when:
The QR code is not in EPC format (e.g. it’s a website link or other QR type)
The code is unclear or damaged
In these cases, please enter the payment details manually.
