How does Vivid help me handle taxes on my investments in Germany?

If you run a German GmbH or UG and invest with Vivid, your activity may create a securities bookkeeping or tax filing obligation in Germany. To make this easier, Vivid integrates with two partners:

  • Lineo Finance GmbH — automated securities bookkeeping. Lineo reads your transaction data directly from supported brokers.

  • steueragenten.de Consulting StB GmbH — a licensed German tax advisor (Steuerberatungsgesellschaft) for ongoing bookkeeping, annual reports, and tax filings.

Both partners are independent third parties you contract with directly. Vivid sets up the connection but isn’t part of the tax-advisory mandate.

Who is this for?

German tax residents with a Vivid business account (GmbH, UG) who use the Business Brokerage or Model Portfolio accounts

Where to find it in the app?

Open Model Portfolios or Business BrokerageMoreTaxes.

Which option fits you?

Option A — Lineo + steueragenten.de (full package). Lineo handles securities bookkeeping; steueragenten.de takes care of bookkeeping, annual reports, and tax filings. Best if you don’t already have a tax advisor, or want everything in one place.

Option B — Lineo + your existing tax advisor. Lineo handles securities bookkeeping; your own Steuerberater handles bookkeeping, annual reports, and filings using Lineo’s output. Best if you already work with an advisor you want to keep.

You can switch between options later — just reach out to support.

  • Bank transfer: you pay manually, per invoice.

  • SEPA direct debit: you may be offered a SEPA direct debit mandate as a separate optional step after onboarding, so steueragenten.de can collect fees automatically. It’s not part of the initial onboarding document pack.

  • VAT: German VAT is added where applicable.
