Need a business account for your Besloten Vennootschap in oprichting (B.V. i.o.) or Naamloze Vennootschap in oprichting (N.V. i.o.)? If you’re setting up a company in the Netherlands, you can open a Vivid account even before it’s fully incorporated.
Getting Started with Your Account
Before opening the account, your company needs to be officially registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK). This involves submitting a special registration form for "in oprichting" (in formation) companies. Along with this form, you’ll also need to provide a declaration from a civil-law notary who confirms that they’ve been tasked with incorporating your B.V. or N.V.
Once your registration is complete, you can open a business account to manage your company’s finances during the formation process.
Using the Account During Formation
You’re allowed to use your Vivid account without restrictions for the first three months after opening it. This gives you the flexibility to handle transactions, or any other financial needs as you finalize the incorporation of your company.
However, after this initial three-month period, we will require proof of your company’s official registration with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) to continue using the account. Specifically, you’ll need to provide an updated KvK extract that confirms your company has transitioned from "i.o." status to a fully incorporated B.V. or N.V.
If you do not provide this proof within three months, we reserve the right to restrict your account and to terminate our business relationship with you.
This process ensures that your account remains active and in line with the legal requirements for businesses in formation.
