Can a holding company open a Vivid Business account?

Yes. Holding companies can open a Vivid Business account, including holdings whose income comes mainly from dividends, interest, rents or royalties, and holdings that do not own any companies yet but plan to.

What extra information do you ask from companies with mainly passive income?

  • The tax residency and TIN of the company, provided before the account is opened.

  • The tax residency and TIN of every beneficial owner, and a confirmation that each is not a U.S. person.

My holding does not own any companies yet

If your holding has mainly passive income, tick the box on the Subsidiaries step to confirm that you plan to acquire or establish companies. After you submit your application, we will ask you for:

  • your current and planned ownership structure (or, if not defined yet, what business you plan to establish)

  • a business overview, including your source of funds

  • financial statements for the past 3 months

  • a confirmation that the account is used only for your company’s own assets, with no third-party or external investor funds

Reviewing this information takes longer than a standard application.

I have several companies. Can I open one account for all of them?

Each company needs its own application. You can use the same email address for each one.
