Why was my Cashback revoked?
Updated over 4 months ago

Cashback is credited when a transaction is successfully processed by business card. However, in some cases, the credited Cashback can be revoked or adjusted and caused a negative balance on your ‘Rewards’ tab.

Some of these cases are:

  1. Different EUR amount between the card authorization and settlement.

    • There can be differences between the card authorization amount and the settlement amount. Card authorization confirms the account's ability to fund a transaction, while the settlement reflects the actual debit to the account.

    • Sometimes, the amount initially authorized may differ from the amount collected at settlement, which can affect the Cashback you receive. This discrepancy often occurs with purchases made at gas stations, airport stores, and transactions in a different currency. If the final settlement amount varies from the initial authorization, your Cashback will be adjusted accordingly.

  2. Purchase Return or Order Cancellation

    • If you cancel a previously made order or return a purchase for which you received Cashback, the credited Cashback will be deducted from your account.

Is there any issue if my ‘Rewards’ tab turned negative due to the revoke Cashback?

It won’t cause any monetary loss, and once you earn more Cashback, your balance will be adjusted with your future purchases.

When my Cashback is revoked, is my limit affected for that month?

If Cashback is credited and then revoked due to any of the scenarios mentioned above, your limit will be recalculated immediately after you receive the refund. Since we do not credit Cashback retrospectively, your limit will be adjusted, allowing you to use it for future purchases in the same month.

For example, if your Cashback limit is €100 and you receive €3 Cashback on the 1st from a recent card purchase. If you return the purchase and the refund is processed on the 15th, we will adjust your limit, unlocking €3 back into your monthly Cashback limit.
