What can I do to protect myself from fraud?

You can protect your Vivid Money account from fraud by following these tips:

General advice:

  • Always check if a web link is official before sharing any personal data

  • In case of any doubts that a real Vivid employee is talking to you, then contact us via official communication channels that are listed below

Never Share Sensitive Information

Do not share:

  • SMS or push notification codes

  • Card details (except during online shopping)

  • Account login details and passwords (including those for Vivid and your linked email)

Device Security

  • Never share your devices: Each team member should use their own device to log in.

  • Strong passwords: Ensure your password is:

    • At least eight characters long

    • A mix of numbers, special characters, lowercase and uppercase letters

Password Safety

  • Do not write down your password

  • Do not share your password, even with team members (each team member should have their own login credentials when invited to the business account)

Authentication and Monitoring

  • Use biometric authentication (fingerprint or face ID) or a PIN code to log into your account.

  • Monitor your account: Regularly check transactions. Report any unrecognized or unauthorized transactions immediately via chat in your business account. We will help secure your account.

Financial Management

  • Spread your money wisely across different accounts.

  • Set up monthly limits for your card transactions.

  • Enable push notifications from Vivid Money for updates and alerts and check them regularly.

Official Communication Channels

  • Email: Our official email address for Vivid Business is [email protected]. We may also send business account offers by post. These letters will always show one of the following reply addresses: [email protected] or [email protected].

  • Live Chat: Available in the bottom right corner of the web interface, even from your business account application.

  • SMS: We will never request additional information via SMS but may use it to send one-time-passcodes, reminders with previous other communications or if we reach out to you by phone and are unable to get hold of you. If you receive a suspicious SMS with a link, please read this article.

  • Whatsapp: We will never request personal information via Whatsapp but may use it to send one-time-passcodes, important notifications or if we reach out to you by phone and are unable to get hold of you.

  • Website: Our only official website is www.vivid.money, where you can find information about our products and links to all our official social media channels.

  • Call Verification: Our sales managers or account managers may call you to offer or assist with your deal, or onboarding, or regarding our other services, such as ordering a Point-of-Sale (POS) terminal. If you are unsure whether the call is genuine, do not hesitate to verify it via our contact form. When we call you, we will never request private login information or passwords.
