Currently, we support individuals and entities in the early stages of setting up their business, including companies in formation in Germany and the Netherlands.
Limitation on countries
The Applicant and Directors must possess an EU/EEA ID document. The following ID documents are accepted:
Active EU/EEA ID Card: Valid for citizens of EEA countries.
Active EU/EEA Passport: Valid for citizens of EEA countries.
Active EU/EEA Residence Permit: Valid for individuals residing in an EEA country, even if they are not citizens of an EEA country. For example, a Brazilian national with a residence permit in Germany can apply, even if they are not a citizen of an EEA country.
Limitation on legal entity types
There are currently only a few types of legal entities that we can accept for the Founder Accounts:
GmbH i. G. (Germany)
UG i. G. (Germany)
BV i.o. (Netherlands)
NV i.o. (Netherlands)
Except for the two legal entity types above, we can’t accept other types of companies that have yet to finalize the registration. Please consider our Freelancer Account if it meets your business needs. Here’s more information about it.
Limitation on business activities
We cannot onboard companies involved in certain restricted business activities. You can find the full list here.
Some other business sectors may have limitations due to compliance regulations and our partnerships with financial institutions.
