How can I grant my accountant access to my business account?

As a business owner, you may want your accountant to access your business account without granting full permission. Hence, the “Assistant” role.

The Assistant role offers controlled, view-only access, so you remain in complete control. Here’s how:

  1. Account Viewing Only: Assistants can view account balances and transactions. They can download account statements and payment confirmations. However, they can't create or delete money accounts. Assistants can't also create, top up, or withdraw funds from the Interest Account.

  2. Payment Initiation with Approval: Assistants can initiate payments or transfer requests, but these require review and approval from an Admin or Owner before processing.

  3. Limited Card Access: While you can issue cards on behalf of Assistants and set limits, they cannot manage card settings (issue, freeze, delete, or adjust limits). Assistants can only use issued cards to earn cashback on purchases.

  4. Restricted Team Management: Assistants cannot invite or delete team members but can view the current team list.

  5. Tariff Plan Viewing: Assistants can view the current tariff plan details but cannot make changes.

Please refer to this page for a full overview of access permissions by role.

Furthermore, inviting your accountant to your business account is both safe and secure because:

  1. Unique Login with Identity Verification: Your accountant receives their own login credentials and can only access the account after identity verification, eliminating the need to share credentials among team members.

  2. Admin & Owner Visibility: As an Admin or Owner, you retain complete visibility over all actions within your business account, including those performed by team members.

How Do I Invite My Accountant to Access the Business Account?

  1. Navigate to the ‘Team’ section of your business account.

  2. Click ‘Add a Team Member’, select ‘Assistant’, and enter your accountant’s details, including their email, first name, and last name.

Your accountant will receive an invitation to set up access and verify their identity. This quick process typically takes less than three minutes. Once verified, they can securely access your business account using their own login credentials.
