How to link your external bank account to Vivid Business and what can you do with it?

Many business owners manage multiple bank accounts. Sometimes, switching between these different platforms can be quite a hassle for a simple need to check balance or transactions.

At Vivid Business, we understand this challenge. That’s why our linked external bank account feature lets you seamlessly connect your other business accounts to Vivid Business, providing you with a unified view of all transactions in one place.

We provide connections with 2,422 banks across 30 countries via Salt Edge. Your other bank and payment accounts are seamlessly and securely integrated into your Vivid mobile and web applications.

What Can You Do with a Linked External Bank Account?

  1. View balances

    • See your external bank account’s balance and IBAN directly from your Vivid Business account.

    • Easily cross-check finances across different banks from a single dashboard.

    • Review transactions from other banks within the Bookkeeping feature.

    • Attach documents or notes for record-keeping.

    • Assign team members to review external transactions directly in Vivid Business.

    • Link your external bank for seamless top-ups.

    • Simply enter the amount, select the bank, and initiate the transfer—no need to enter your Vivid Business account details anymore manually.

Please note that we do not provide live updates for external account balances and transactions. Any transactions made in your external account may take a few hours to reflect in your Vivid Business account.

How to Link Your External Bank Account

Currently, this feature is only available via the Web Interface, except for top-ups, which can also be done through the App Interface. It can be set up by any user with access to the Business Account. You can find the option to link your external bank account in two places:

  • Sidebar menu → "Accounts" → "Link External Account"

  • Sidebar menu → "Home" → "Add Money - Connect a New Bank Account"

Once you’ve selected the option to link your bank:

  1. Choose your external bank from the list or use the search function.

  2. Enter your external bank login credentials from their website.

  3. Depending on your bank, you may need to verify the link via 3DS, SMS, or fingerprint authentication.

After completing these steps, your external bank account will be successfully linked to Vivid Business, giving you full control of your finances in one platform.
